Baby Cards Smart Lock

Made with a lot of love for a very small audience

❤️ When our son was born, we wanted to get every detail right and make everything by hand, with all the care and love in the world, so we set out to make a whole pile of contrast cards, patterns and drawings for babies.

😅 Overestimating the free time and energy we were going to have, like the good first-time parents we were, after several nights without rest we decided to prioritize feeding and sleeping.

💪🏻 Even so, my wife and I managed to make 32 contrast cards by hand for my son, which only 3 months later our nephew inherited.

👶🏼 A blink later and our son was already 4 months old. The black-and-white contrast cards no longer interested him (except as something to try to eat). What he loved now were animals. I would search Google for “animals” and start swiping through pictures. He was astonished. He laughed at cats and tigers, waved his arms at gorillas, sat hypnotized by zebras… (that is why “Animals” is the topic with the most cards in the app).

💥 The problem is that it was a disaster. He would whack the phone and change the picture, or leave the app, or tap a link… or reach the home screen and delete an app folder that had taken me days to get perfectly organized, all in half a second and with that chaotic precision of a crazy little baby.

🧠 That is where the idea for this app came from. One that would let me show him everything he wants to see, sorted by age and topic and safely, with the idea of the Smart Lock.

😘 I hope you find it as useful and as fun as I do. If it gets a smile out of your baby, or they wave their arms, or they concentrate hard on a card, it will have been worth it.
